INTRODUCTION

Central Texas Veterinary Ophthalmology is a veterinary referral practice which specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases in all species of animals. We utilize the most up to date medical and surgical techniques diagnosing and treating eye diseases in our companion animal patients.

Most of the cases we see are in dogs, cats and horses but we also have experience with birds and other exotic pets as well as farm animals. We have provided care for animals at several zoos in Texas.

Our ophthalmologists are board certified by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists and each has over 25 years experience in clinical ophthalmology practice. The American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) is the organization that oversees training of veterinary ophthalmologists in this country. Veterinarians who wish to specialize in ophthalmology undergo specialty training and become members of the ACVO after passing the organizations certifying examination.
